The vertical conical-bottom glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) storage tank is an industrial storage device made primarily of FRP, featuring a vertical structure and a conical base. Material CompositionThe main body is composed of a composite material of glass fiber and resin matrix. Different types of resins including epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, and vinyl ester resin can be selected according to the characteristics of the stored medium, so as to enhance the tank's corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and other adaptive capabilities.
Vertical Conical-bottom Design
- Vertical Structure: It occupies a small floor area and has high space utilization rate, facilitating centralized layout and pipeline connection. It is suitable for storage scenarios with compact factory areas.
- Conical Base: Compared with flat-bottom storage tanks, the inclined angle of the conical base can promote the complete discharge of the medium inside the tank. It is especially suitable for storing viscous liquids and liquids containing sediments, which can reduce medium residue, lower cleaning difficulty and minimize material waste.
1. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
FRP is non-conductive and non-rusting, and has good resistance to various corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents. It can replace traditional carbon steel and stainless steel storage tanks, avoid chemical reactions between the medium and the tank body, and extend the service life.
The density of FRP is only about 1/4 that of carbon steel, while its tensile strength is comparable to that of carbon steel and even exceeds that of some steel grades. This feature makes the transportation and installation of the tank more convenient, eliminates the need for large-scale hoisting equipment, and reduces construction costs.
FRP is an excellent insulating material, suitable for storing media that require anti-static protection. Meanwhile, it has a certain thermal insulation effect, which can reduce the impact of external temperature on the medium inside the tank, eliminating the need for additional complex thermal insulation layers.
It can be customized with different volumes, conical angles and inlet/outlet positions according to user requirements. The tank surface is smooth and not prone to scaling. Daily maintenance only requires simple cleaning and inspection, without the need for frequent derusting and anti-corrosion treatments.

It is used for storing various acid-alkaline solutions, chemical raw materials and intermediates, such as dilute sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide solution, methanol and ethanol.
It applies to reagent storage in sewage treatment, temporary storage of wastewater, as well as storage of absorbent liquid in desulfurization and denitrification systems.
It is suitable for storing food-grade liquid raw materials, fermentation broth and liquid medicine (food-grade resin must be adopted for manufacturing).
It can store light oil products and lubricating oil additives, and is particularly suitable for highly corrosive environments such as coastal areas and humid regions.
